I don’t necessarily agree with the phrase: “Love is never having to say you’re sorry.” But I do think it might be never saying, “I told you so.”
If we’re wrong, a sincere apology is still the best way I know to start righting the wrong and moving forward, assuming it’s coupled with necessary actions.
“I told you so,” is a game of “One Up.” That doesn’t have a place in healthy relationships.
