Do you over- or under-protect your heart? Many of us miss out on fully committing to wonderful relationships — intimate, friendship-wise and work, too — because we’ve become jaded from past hurts and/or we are afraid that we can no longer trust our own judgements. Some of us jump in too quickly to relationships not necessarily worthy of our commitment.

If we ever get stuck deciding on which to do it is because we are in re-action mode and three primary things are happening: 1) We are re-playing past experiences and re-acting our role in those past experiences while casting others in our played-out plays; 2) We are focusing on imperfect words when instead giving close attention to consistent or repeated actions that would be far more telling; and/or 3) We are rushing the relationships and forgetting to allow time to unfold on it’s own accord. We most often do this when we’re trying to get to some form of intimacy or deeper trust that we’re craving, yet the nature of trust takes time to develop so we can genuinely feel secure.

We need to trust that time and our real eyes will realize real lies…and truths.

“Real” reveals itself with time and our observation of actions. All good things take time to grow. Right now the ground and trees may appear gray, dull and dormant. Yet with time, Nature reveals where beauty may lie.
