While I prefer looking at life from a macro vs. micro perspective — let’s take a moment and address the elephant in our proverbial room: The Daily News Cycle. It is brutal. Frightening. Disturbing. Unsettling. Muckraking. Designed to shock or create awe. Unfathomable. Too real and often unreal … and more.

So what do we do to stay sane, healthy and maintain our naturally groovy state of being…or at least not feel sadly disillusioned? ✨

You do this:  Promote what you love instead of bashing what you hate. It’s where you’ll find your personal peace. ✨

That’s it. How it works is when you feel the urge to explode, react and/or whip off an instant response of fury or frustration — if possible, remove yourself from the immediate situation or think about what or who you love and start telling others all about it or them. Consciously shift your narrative. ✨

This is not to say, be uninformed. ✨

I’m ridiculously informed. I read the entire realm of headlines, articles, research, books and more — from left to right. Not because I necessarily want to, but partly because owning a PR firm, I have to. ✨

But from this?  I’ve learned that media is all about the extremes. And, it is the extremes that inform the majority of us in the middle. ✨

So with all that? Breathe, too. Air. Lots of it. In your lungs. Air is good for you. The more fresh air the better. ✨
