Patience, compassion, gentleness, humility, respect, detachment, self-control, effort, joy, love in spirit, reflection, restfulness, seriousness, emotional control, concentration, action and effort, and altruistic charity.
Each of these traits sums up the foundation of every religious and spirituality text that I have read over the past twenty plus years. And I have read earnestly: In search of what, I wasn’t always sure.
But as I compiled that list today, I realized that I have found what I’ve been searching for because that list is pretty complete.
So what I’m thinking today is this: These 17 characteristics are guide posts and clues to a greater sense of happiness, peace and appreciation for the life we have been granted.
Now, as in any search it gets down to this: What will I do since I’ve found the keys to open the door?
