Self discipline is the highest form of self love.

That’s my new reminder when I need to kick my arse into gear because I’ve put all of those healthy living responsibilities that I know to be so important on the bottom of my “To Do” list.  The expression is very simple, yet really says it all.

We can talk all we want about what we need to do and about how we’re going to change. But it all gets down to talk or excuses if we don’t.  Fact is, when we practice a healthy dose of self-discipline in all of our actions, we are loving ourselves in the highest order.

Next time you find yourself rationalizing or negotiating with yourself about something that you know in your heart would be beneficial to your health, your spirit or you overall life in general… remember this.

PS:  As with most of what I write, I write because it’s a “Reminder to Self.”
