The more we flex our risk muscles, the less scared we will be when we are confronted with situations that require our strength & fortitude.

Testing the limits of our comfort levels, pushing ourselves into uncharted territory is healthy. While flexing won’t always get us what we want, it tends to strengthen us as we prove to ourselves that we can test our limits and comfort zones, and become stronger in the process.

There’s more to this story…This photo by @annie_powers is another screenshot from a #modeling shoot for #clothing #designer @RachelComey  I arrived as requested: no #makeup, clean #unstyled #hair, bare #nails. There was no  makeup and #hair #stylist #onset.  Instead, the #photos were all taken “as is” while wearing one beautiful outfit after another.  Resharing this #noretouch #nomakeup #natural look is a way of fortifying my #risk muscles because I have to admit that real fast it’s easy to get used to looking at (and believing) photos that have been completely #retouched #altered #filtered coupled with amazing #lighting …and #believing “That’s me.” It’s not. This is.  Both genres are wonderful. They’re art, #fashion and #fun But #illusions don’t make for great #comparisons #Keepitreal #BeKind to Yourself!  #styled by @travisweaver.us #booked by my agent @gindoll1 of @wilhelminamodels who also a #writer of #romance #books …which was a big risk for her when she started #writing them. Now she has 5 completed and is working on her 6th! How are you risking, flexing, stretching and growing?
