I truly love when people do amazing, awesome things. I’d be lying if I said I always felt this way. I used to feel very jealous. What changed is that the more I studied and learned about the human brain and our capacity to rewire thinking — the more the successes of others became my inspiration.

Observations of success that can be used to rewire and self-inspire can be physical, musical, verbal or action-oriented like an act of kindness or patience.

How I retrained my mind to view other’s successes as inspiration for my possibilities is this: Each time I observe greatness in another, I imagine it as the catalystic spark that is rewiring my brain to achieve my next version of greatness. I imagine my possibilities.  This isn’t woo-woo. There’s science behind it.

It starts with our hearts. If a heart stops beating, emergency doctors will try to shock it back to beating with electrical charges. Electricity is everywhere in us and around us. All things in the Universe are made out of atoms that are constantly vibrating and radiating energy. Almost all of our cells are designed to conduct electrical currents. The elements in our bodies like sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, make it possible to have ions that carry these electrical charges.

Consequently, we hold the potential to rewire our thoughts and actions. If we think of each moment as information that needs to be coded into the most remarkable personal computer in the world — our possibilities expand exponentially!
