I don’t believe in prodigies. Calling someone a prodigy may very well be one of the greatest insults we can bestow upon another. It undermines the commitment, effort, trials and correction of errors that are all requirements to be invested for ultimate excellence. 

People may show signs of talent in any number of activities and situations. But it is the choice to show up every day, whether one feels like it or not, that turns that talent into something recognized as extraordinary. And it’s not just practicing, but as @aleksandrovechkinofficial says, it is “Perfect practice that makes perfect,” not practice or mere talent.
