You know you are distracted and out of the moment when you’re steaming broccoli in a wooden steamer…and you set it on fire.

Yup.  That’s what I did last night.

Today as I was trying to figure out what I’d write, I decided I’d simply admit…or actually publish…a huge, embarrassing acknowledgment of my human be-ing.

Seriously:  How do you manage to turn boiling water into a fire?

Or more specifically…How did I manage to do this❓❗️This is almost as bad as the time when I was 21 and I set off the fire alarm and sprinklers in my house while boiling a corned beef! (I became a vegitarian shortely thereafter!) Or when I was 27 and emptied an entire 57 floor apartment building on W 57th Street because while in my new 250 square foot studio apartment, I jammed a big NYC bagel in my toaster, took a nap and woke up to smoke alarms and the embarrassment on the street as the NYFD stormed the building and my neighbors wondered: Who the heck caused this? I wasn’t telling…

SO…the answer to the BIG Question is:

(A) keep me out of the kitchen

or…

(B) get present?

I think it’s (B).  Stay in the moment.

And here’s a bigger lesson:  IF you happen to be younger than 60…Know that I’ve been working on staying in the moment since I began studying hypnosis and meditation at age 27.  Thirty-three years later, I’m still working on it.

SO, don’t beat yourself up…wondering… ”When will I be enlightened?”

The answer is: You were born enlightened!

NOW it’s time to own it and pay attention in moment.✨
