Objective perspectives are said to be quantifiable or measurable— therefore not based on nor influenced by emotions, opinions or feelings.

Subjective perspectives are those open to greater interpretation because they are based on personal feelings, emotions and what we find pleasing.

So, here’s a deep story for your deep contemplative pleasure.

A bunch of philosophy students were arguing about subjectivity vs. objectivity. The teacher joined them and said: “See that big rock? Is it inside or outside of your mind?”

One student answered: “Everything is an objectification of our minds, so the rock is in my mind.”

The teacher replied: “What a heavy head you must have if you’re carrying around a stone like that in your mind.”
