Do you remember when you were a kid and you declared:  When I get older nobody is going to tell me what to do!  I’m going to eat cake for breakfast.  I will stay up all night.  I’ll have sleep overs with my friends every night. I will never eat okra.

Well, we are older.  Have you followed through on your promises and given yourself permission to have whatever it is you want now-a-days?  The wish-list might certainly be different. For example, no, I don’t want cake for breakfast and staying up all night is overrated.

But there are things I do want to do and have.

AND IF I want to have whatever those self-promises are —  I have to keep owning that my having or doing doesn’t deplete another’s having nor ability to do. There’s actually plenty of having and doing to go around. Not only is there plenty, but by working hard on having what we want, we actually have more to give away if that’s what we want to do.

While life definitely comes with…let’s just call them “glitches”…it will also offer us as much as we’re willing to accept based on how much we love and trust ourselves. Sometimes it gets down to this:  Just how much wonderfulness can you accept?!
