Most of us know how to say nothing; but few of us know when.

Then there’s a zen expression that says, “When angry, speak with your mouth shut.

In yesterday’s post, we talked about difficult people and challenges  we confront in relationships. We discussed how these are best viewed as lessons on learning how to love.  

So on that note, when tensions escalate, think about silently walking away. Think of this distance or space like this: Sometimes we have to leave the classroom and go do our own “homework” to learn or reinforce the lesson.  

This is what walking away does.  It gives us the time and space to regroup and think about what is happening and what we might be learning.
