Growing old and being old are not the same. It’s a privilege to grow old as each moment, day and year holds untold potential until our last breath. Growing older is a result of the passage of time. Getting older does not mean joy for the light of each moment has to diminish. The moment might even become more vibrant. My Mom is 89, her husband is 82 and I’ve got a lot of friends in their mid seventies.  I can factually say: None of them are old. • Becoming old, however, can happen at any age, at any time of life. Becoming old is living-dead, which likely originates from despair and a sense of hopelessness. • If we are alive, we can choose hope and possibility exists. Believe in the magic of a each new day at every stage of life. Age does not have to be the brake of life and living.
