Today is my birthday. I’m entering my 63rd year. That’s a big number. I can’t comprehend it. It sounds old! I have gray hair! Wrinkles, too! Normally when I think of “the 60s” I think of the decade I was born, living in a house with my parents, siblings & a grandmother, elementary school and buying my first 45 record — which was Venus by Shocking Blue 

Now, “THE 60s vs. MY 60s?!!” Wow! Hard to believe all those years have passed, yet not really when I reflect on all that has happened in the World during my lifetime and personally in my life.  

I’m cool with declaring my age, embracing the grays (though I prefer calling it silver even though it’s mostly white!), and even the scars I’ve picked up and wrinkles are just fine. My life is good, my family and friends are healthy, I’ve got a nice roof over my head, wheels when I need them and I should go hungry more than I do. I work with great people and I just expanded my business ventures — because I can’t resist expanding and challenging myself with new adventures: I genuinely enjoy the mental stimulation of figuring out the financial exchanges aka “work”; problem solving; and, interactions with fascinating people. 

And speaking of fascinating people…That would include all of Y O U !  This massive conversation we are having, now has over 1 million monthly readers. I think WE are changing the World for the better— one discussion at a time. Plus — You make me smile, laugh, sometimes cry, always think, learn and grow. Thanks for celebrating this day and every day with me. It really is a wonderful life.
