While I love words and their definitions — I really dislike the process of defining anything…particularly me. ✨
For example, if someone asks, “What do you do?” They are asking us to use words to paint an image for them that will be interpreted via their mind’s eye that is filled with their experiences and perceptions.✨
If I were to answer in no particular order: “I’m an author of inspirational, business & health books (right there alone I sound frantically discombobulated); a perception analyst who consults with corporate clients; a model with Wilhelmina; president of a 25+ year old PR firm; a nutritionist; motivational speaker; journalist; blogger; member of the hypnotists union; mother, sister, wife, friend; blah blah blah…” it’s quite likely the other will think, “What? How misdirected! When will she make up her mind?”✨
But here are the facts: Like many, I’m a creative thinker who has bills to pay like everyone else who has been a self-employed entrepreneur for so long that there’s no turning back!✨
I like it some days. Other days I question my choices. I wonder where I’m going. Still I wake up and make choices from the moment each new day dawns that I believe will move me forward. ✨
But to define myself or another? Wow… that’s hard. Everyone I’ve ever met —including all of you here— has many facets and interests. We all have responsibilities that we might cite to define ourselves— and then there’s everything else that contributes to our fascinatingly, lovable, awesome personalities. ✨
That’s what I am thinking about today.✨
