The power inherent in confessing our flaws, worries, concerns or desires to others is that these are all steps towards allowing ourselves to be who we were; who we are; and, who we are becoming.

By saying aloud what we believe might be our imperfections, doubts or dreams, in a way, what we are really doing is testing the waters of exposing ourselves and allowing deeper intimacy. By taking these risks, we actually gain greater freedom of acceptance and the possibilities to be truer to ourselves.
