Boredom is a very interesting thing. I once read that it is fear of ourselves. Don’t do boredom. Ever. There’s no time for it. Instead, get to know yourself.

Not sure how to get to know yourself? Imagine two of you: You today and You at 120 years old. What would you ask your older self? Would you be proud of your 120 year old self? Would your 120 year old self be proud of how you’ve been using your time or encourage you to try a few more things with your time remaining? If so, what might that be?  Would the conversation be about all the exciting things you that you did and how you really seized every opportunity? Or would you both be discussing all that you wished you had done?

No matter what age you are, no matter what your physical condition, no matter where you live, no matter what your financial situation — both the world and our minds offer vast unexplored territories that can keep life exciting both in the moment and upon reflection.
