Recently someone caught my attention saying, “We need to get experience, to have experience.”

Most interesting, this came from a smart 27 year old young woman. I found it to be an ageless and profound statement in so many ways.

We all get experience by living and doing things we’ve never done before.  The dictionary defines experience as: knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered or undergone.

YET more interestingly, the dictionary labels experience a noun—which would be a person place or thing.

So, it is an asset. Something tangible that we acquire and own.

So as Jimi Hendrix asked:  Are you experienced?

My guess is YES.

That makes you very valuable. Don’t forget that.
