Whenever we start acting a bit snappy towards another, it’s typically triggered because of how we’re perceiving their behavior.
Upon noticing that we’re feeling irked by someone, it really helps to try recalling how hard it is to change ourselves and our own behaviors.
By channelling our frustrations into a personal self-assessment about our abilities, challenges, successes and the time invested into changing our own habits (successfully & unsuccessfully), we begin to understand the low likelihood of changing another’s.
Suddenly, like putting on glasses, our focus can shift back to looking at our perspectives and judgements…and, what about them, may need to be adjusted or released.
