Every time I see awesome talent — whether an artist; musician; writer; athlete; doctor; animator; florist; chef; designer; educator; thinker; model; architect; the list goes on for any and every profession— I stop to say a prayer of thanks because that person is fulfilling their destiny not just for their own enjoyment — but for mine and and others as well.

I don’t begrudge anyone’s success. I am grateful for their very existence.

We shamefully discredit people exemplifying their awesome talent if we assume that they were simply just born awesome.

Instead, I propose consideration of four thoughts: 1st: Like I said, be very grateful for their existence. 2nd, think about all the hours that person spent practicing, rehearsing, trying, failing, studying, testing, dealing with the doubters and haters, struggling, disciplining themselves of distracting urges, dreaming, questioning those dreams; not quitting; and, more. 3rd, start looking for possibility within yourself and others in everything. 4th, ask yourself if you’re willing to commit to the work necessary.

Success of others is a gift to the world. It is inspiration. A reminder of possibilities.  A showcase of what commitment to becoming our highest self can manifest.
