At every age we can get far too focused on mastering one thing at the expense of other things. We all do this in one way or another. We stress ourselves trying to be the best at work, better mates, perfect parents … the list is endless. And, when we’re not trying…we’re worrying that we should be trying harder.

But our overall feeling of success and satisfaction at the end of each day is not based on stressing ourselves to do one thing 100% better, but more likely by doing the 100 things that come our way 1% better.

It’s the little improvements in every area of our lives that lead to a greater sense of, “This was a great day!” vs. the worry that we create if we believe we need to get anything one hundred percent right.
