So, how to begin? Start eating more fruits & veggies! Just 5 fruits & veggies a day makes a huge difference in longevity & reduces premature mortality. Get to 7 a day & the health results become even better. If you can eat 10 fruits & vegetables daily —remarkably dramatic changes in health status can be achieved!

Fruits and vegetables deliver maximum nutrition per calorie which adds life to our years. Better, the vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants & water help reduce heart disease, stroke, cardiovascular disease, cancer & pre-mature death from a variety of other illnesses as well.

Having researched, practiced & counseled others on the benefits of eating well for 30+ years, I’ve witnessed changes that are remarkable.

Need help to start? Add diced kale or spinach to your meatballs batter. You’ll never notice. Start eating salads. Make fruit your only food before 11am & after 9pm. Reach for carrots & cucumbers when craving crunch. Dunk them in ground up chick peas with tahini or a bit of olive oil.  Thinly slice your favorite veggies in a casserole dish, add a low-sodium tomato sauce, sprinkle the top with your favorite cheese and bake it a 1/2 hour at 350. You’ll have an easy, veggie-filled casserole. Make a ratatouille by chopping and lightly sautéing onions, eggplant & squashes with tomatoes. Eat warm or cold. Make a salad and toss is with a creamy dressing made by blending an avocado & a tomato. Season it with pepper.  Pick some grapes off the vine and put them in a plastic bag in the freezer. Nibble them when frozen for a sweet treat. Freeze peeled bananas. Once fully frozen— blend them in a blender with a little half & half for the best ‘ice-cream’ ever!
